Installer Throws the SQL Driver not Found Error
Ifyouare runningtheinstallerfromasharedlocationonthenetwork,theinstallermightfailwiththe
followingerror:
SQL driver not found.
Youmustcopytheinstallerfiles ontothelocalmachineandthenruntheinstaller. Aprobablealternativeisto
mapthissharedlocationtoanetworkdriveandthenruntheinstaller.
Status of Failed Data Collector is not Reflected Immediately on the System
Health tab
Thedatacollectorheartbeatissetto30seconds.Ifthedatacollectorfails,vCenterChargebackwaitsforat
least90secondsbeforeupdatingthestatusofthedatacollectorintheapplication.Therefore,theSystem
Healthtabdoesnotreflectthefailedstatusofthedatacollectorimmediately.
Non-English Characters are not Correctly Stored in the vCenter Chargeback
Database
IfyouusinganOracledatabaseasthevCenterChargebackdatabase,youmustconfigurethedatabasetouse
theUnicode(AL32UTF8)charactersettosupportthefollowingscenarios:
YouwanttodeploythevCenterChargebackdatabaseinanon‐Englishenvironment.
YouwanttosynchronizethevCenterChargebackdatabasewithavCenterServerdatabasethathas
non‐Englishdata.
Service Temporarily Unavailable Error Thrown when Accessing vCenter
Chargeback
Aprobablereasonmightbetherelevantservicesarenotrunning.Checkwhethertheservicesrelatedto
vCenterChargebackarerunning.IfyouhavejuststartedthesystemorvirtualmachineonwhichvCenter
Chargebackisinstalled,youmighthavetowaitforfewminutesfortherelevantservicestostart
before
accessingtheapplication.
Text and Messages on the vCenter Chargeback User Interface are not Correctly
Displayed
IfvCenterChargebackisinstalledonanon‐Englishoperatingsystem(forexample,JapaneseWindowsXP),
youmustsettheWebbrowserencodingtoUnicode(UTF‐8)ontheclientmachineforthetextsandmessages
toappearcorrectlyintheuserinterface.
Error Occurs While Importing a Hierarchy from a CSV File
AprobablereasoncouldbethattheCSVfilehasablankrow.IftheCSVfilecontainsanyblankrows,the
hierarchyimportfailswithanerrorstatingthatthespecifiedcolumnsarelessthantherequiredcolumns.
Changes to Chargeback Hierarchy are not Reflected in the Concurrent
User-Sessions
Creation,deletion,andrenamingofachargebackhierarchybyauserarenotautomaticallyreflectedinthe
concurrentuser‐sessions.Theconcurrentusersmustlogoutandthenloginagaintoseethesechanges.Any
otherchangetothechargebackhierarchy,suchasaddingordeletinganentity,mightnot
reflectimmediately
intheconcurrentuser‐sessions.Afterachangeismadetothechargebackhierarchy,thehierarchymustbe
manuallyrefreshedintheconcurrentuser‐sessions.Userscanrefreshthechargebackhierarchybyclickingthe
refreshbuttonnexttothechargebackhierarchyorbyloadinganotherchargebackhierarchyand
then
reloadingtherequiredchargebackhierarchy.
