URLandportdetailsfortheSMTPandLDAPservers.ThissectiondisplaysthetotalnumberofCPUsof
allthe
powered‐onESXhoststhatarecurrentlyaddedtothechargebackhierarchiesdefinedinthe
application.IfallthevirtualmachinesinanESXhostarepoweredoff,theCPUsintheESXhostarenot
consideredinthiscount.ItalsodisplaysthemaximumnumberofESXhostCPUs
thatthecurrentlicense
isvalidfor.
vCenterServerDatabases:Displa y sthenamesofthevCenterServ erdatabasesforeachvCenterServer
addedtotheapplication.Whenyoumovethecursorov e rthedatabasename,atooltipdisplaysthenameof
thedatabase,thenameofthecorrespondingvCenterServer,thestatusofthedatabase,andits
responsetime.
IftheSystemHealthtabistheactivetab,thentheusersessionwillnottimeout.Onallothertabs,ifthereis
noaction,theusersessiontimesoutafter30minutes.
Events
Mostuseractionsgenerateaneventintheapplication.TheseeventsarerecordedintheEventsDetailspanel
oftheapplication.Thispanelcanbeviewedonallthepages.Thepanelisminimizedbydefault.Toviewthe
entriesinthepanel,clickthetriangulariconinthebottom‐left
cornerofthescreen.Thepaneldisplaysatable
withthefollowingcolumns:
Message:Ashortmessagegivinginformationabouttheevent.
UserName:Theuserloginthatcausedtheevent.
Time:Thedateandtimewhentheeventoccurred.
Type:Thetypeofevent.
Theinformationdisplayedinthetableisusefultotrackwhichusersperformedwhichactionsonthe
application.TheinformationintheEventDetailspanelisrefreshedevery30seconds.Ifthispanelisopen,the
usersessiondoesnotgettimedout.
Ifthesystem
timeofthevCenterChargebackinstancesinaclusterarenotinsync,theEventDetailstabdoes
notdisplayanyeventmessages.

vCenterChargebackisbundledwithatroubleshootingutility.
To run the troubleshooting utility:
1Runthetroubleshootingscript.
OnWindows,runthefollowingcommandsfromthecommandprompt:
cd <Installation_Directory>\vCenter-CB-Tools\troubleshooting\bin
vCenterCB-support.bat
TheuserrunningthisutilitymustbelongtotheAdministratorsgroup.
YoucanalsorunthisutilitybyselectingCollectChargebackLogsfromthe
Start > Programs > VMware > VMware vCenter Chargeback > vCenter Chargeback Tools menu.
