Chapter 7 Generating Reports
HalfYearly:ThisissimilartotheQuarterlyoption.Inthiscase,thereportisgeneratedfora
six‐monthduration.ThereportforthedurationJanuarytoJuneisgeneratedonthesetdateinJuly.
ThereportforthedurationJulytoDecemberisgeneratedontheset
dateinJanuary.
Yearly:ThisoptionissimilartotheMonthlyoption.Youcanselectthemonthanddaystartingfrom
whichthebillinghastobedone.Youcanalsodefineaschedulepolicythatdefineswhenthereport
hastobegenerated.Forexample,supposeyouwanttogenerateayearly
reportonthesecondSunday
ofJanuaryfortheearlieryear.Inthiscase,youcanspecifythebillingdayas1,themonthasJanuary,
andthereportgenerationdayasthesecondSundayofJanuary,whichistheschedulingpolicy.
Custom:Inthiscase,youcansetacustombillingperiodbyspecifyingthestartingdatebillingasthe
numberofdayspriortothereportgenerationdayandthedurationforwhichtheentitieshavetobe
billed.Youmustalsospecifyhowoftenthereporthastobe
generated.Thisvalueissetasnumberof
days.Forexample,supposeyouwanttoscheduleabi‐weeklyreport.Setthestartdateforbillingas
14dayspriortothereportgenerationday,durationas14days,andthereportschedulingpolicyas
14days.
RangeofRecurrence:Therecurrencerangespecifiesthestartandenddateoftheperiodforwhichthe
reportscheduleisavailable.Thereportschedulewillberemovedafterthespecifiedenddate.Youcanalso
createanever‐endingschedule.
Schedule Report Generation
Whengeneratingareport,youcanchoosetoschedulethereportgenerationfromtheCreateReportscreen.
To schedule report generation
1 SelecttheSchedulethisreportoptionontheGeneraltaboftheCreateReportscreen.
2 SelecttheScheduletabandsetthefollowingschedulingparameters:
ReportCreationTime:Whenthereporthastobegenerated.
RecurrencePattern:Howoftenthereporthastobegenerated.
RangeofRecurrence:Tillwhenthereporthastobegeneratedperiodically.
Toknowmoreabouttheseschedulingparameters,referto“SchedulingParameters”onpage 72.
3ClickGenerateReport.
Thereportisgeneratedperiodicallyasperthescheduleoptionsset.Thegeneratedreportsareautomatically
archivedandcanbeviewedfromthe
ArchivedReportspageoftheReportstab.
Afterareporthasbeenscheduled,thereportschedulecanbeaccessedfromtheScheduleReportspageofthe
Reportstab.Thispagelistsalltheactivereportschedules.Ifareportschedulehasexpired,thesamewouldbe
automaticallyremovedfromthetable
listingalltheactivereportschedulesonthispage.Areportschedule
wouldexpireonlyiftherangeofrecurrenceislimitedwithanenddate.Evenifareportschedulehasexpired,
thereportsgeneratedandarchivedasperthescheduleareavailableandcanbeviewedbytheuser
fromthe
ArchivedReportspageoftheReportstab.
