Unable to Access the vCenter Chargeback Application
Checkwhetheralltherelevantservicesarerunning.Thefollowingservicesmustbestartedandrunning:
VMwarevCenterChargebackService
VMwarevCenterChargebackLoadBalancerService
VMwarevCenterChargebackDataCollector
Ifalltherequiredservicesarestartedandrunning,checkwhethertheWindowsFirewallisenabledonthe
machineonwhichvCenterChargebackandtheloadbalancerisinstalledandrunning.IfWindowsFirewall
isenabled,ensurethatportexceptionsareaddedfortheHTTP,loadbalancer,
andHTTPSportsthatare
configuredforvCenterChargebackduringtheinstallation.
Unable to Remove the vCenter Chargeback Plug-In from the VI Client
IfyouregistervCenterChargebackasaplug‐inanddonotdeselecttheRegisterAsVIClientPluginoption
beforeuninstallingthevCenterChargebackapplication,theplug‐incannotbeuninstalledfromtheVIClient.
YoumustdeselecttheRegisterAsVIClientPluginoptionforeachvCenterServeradded
totheapplication.
InthecaseofthevCenterChargebackvirtualappliance,youmustensurethatthisoptionisdeselectedbefore
deletingthevirtualappliance.

AprobablereasonmightbethattheprimarygroupdoesnotcomeundertheprovidedbaseDN.Onlythe
groupsandusersdefinedunderthespecifiedDNintheActiveDirectoryhierarchycanbeviewedfromand
addedtovCenterChargeback.
CAUTIONYoumustensurethattheplug‐inisremovedusingthesesteps,onlyifthevCenterChargeback
applicationisuninstalledandtheplug‐incannotberemovedfromtheVIClient.IfthevCenterChargeback
applicationisavailableandrunning,removingtheplug‐inusingthisproceduremightcauseundesirable
results.
