Generate a Cost Report
Youcangeneratecostreportsforanhierarchyandforindividualentitiesinahierarchy.
To generate a cost report
1IntheReportstab,clickCreateReports.
2 Selecttherequiredchargebackhierarchyfromthedrop‐downlistontheleftpaneofthepage.
Thecollapsedviewofthechargebackhierarchyisdisplayed.Youcanexpandthehierarchybyclicking
theplussign(+)totheleftofthehierarchyname.Thefirstlevelentitiesofthehierarchyisdisplayed.
To furtherexpand,clicktheplussigntotheleftoftheentitiesthathavesub‐entities.
3Right‐clicktheentityforwhichyouwanttogeneratethe
reportandselectGenerateReportonthisEntity
fromthepop‐upmenu.
TheCreateReportscreenisdisplayed.
Youcanalsogenerateacostreportfortheentirehierarchybyright‐clickingthehierarchyandselecting
GenerateReportonthisHierarchy.

Name:Enterameaningfulnameforthereport.Thecharacterlimitforthereportnameis
255 characters.
Description:Provideanoptionaldescriptionofthereport.Thecharacterlimitforthereport
descriptionis512characters.
Selectacostmodel:Selectthecostmodeltobeusedforgeneratingthereportfromthelistofcost
models.
ComputationResources:Selecttheresourcestobeconsideredforcalculatingthecostsandtobe
reported.YoucaneitherselectDiskReadandDiskWritetobereportedindividuallyortobe
reportedintotalasDiskReadandWrite.Similarly,thedatatrafficoverthenetworkcanbeeither
reportedseparatelyasNetworkReceivedandNetworkTransmittedorintotalasNetwork
ReceivedandTransmitted.
Generatethisreportnow:(default)Specifytheeffectiveperiodforgeneratingthereportby
providingthestartdateandenddateforthereportingduration.Thisreportingdurationisthetime
periodforwhichtheusagestatsofcomputingresourceswillberetrievedandusedforcalculatingthe
costs.The
entity‐specificcostconfigurationdetailsapplicableduringthistimeperiodwillalsobe
used.Ensurethatthedatesareenteredinthemm/dd/yyyyformat.
5 SelecttheCostInfotabandprovidethefollowinginformation:
Includecostsummaryinreport:Selectthisoptiontoincludethesummaryofthecostsinthereport.
Youmustalsoselectthetypeofcostsummarytobereported.ThecostsummarycaneitherbeBasic
(default)orComplete.Abasiccostsummaryincludesthecostsummaryforthe
entityandits
immediatechildinthereport.Acompletecostsummaryprovidesthecostsummaryfortheselected
entityandallitschildentities.
Includeresourcesummaryinreport:Selectthisoptiontoincludethesummaryofcostsforthe
selectedresourcesinthereport.Youmustalsoselectthetypeofresourcesummarytobereported.
Theresourcesummary,likecostsummary,canbeeitherBasic(default)orComplete.Ifyouselect
this
option,youmustalsoselecttheresourceswhosecostsummaryhavetobereported.Youcan
selectamaximumofsixresourcestobedisplayedinthereport.
Showthesedetailsinreport:Selectthisoptionifyouwanttoincludeinformationabouttheselected
costmodelortheentityattributes,orsomeinformationmessagesintheCostDetailssectionofthe
report.Theselectedinformationcanbedisplayedfortheselectedentityanditsimmediatechild
entities
orfortheselectedentityandalltheentitiesthatareunderitinthechargebackhierarchy.
