ThedefaultselectionisUpdatefromnowonwards,indicatingthebaserateswillbeeffectivefromthe
timeofcreationofthecostmodeltillinfinity.
TheotheroptionisUpdatefortheeffectiveperiod.
Ifyouselectthisoption,youmustspecifythestart
andenddateoftheperiodforwhichthebaserateswillbeeffective.Youmustenterthedatesinthe
mm/dd/yyyyformat.Iftheenddateisnotspecified,thebaserateswillbeeffectivefromthespecifiedstart
datetillinfinity.

Modify a Cost Model
Afteracostmodeliscreated,youcanmodifyitasandwhenrequired.
To modify a cost model
1IntheManageCosttab,clickCostModels.
Atablelistingallthecostmodelscreatedintheapplicationisdisplayed.
2 Selectthecostmodelthatyouwanttomodify,andclickEdit.
TheCostModelscreen
isdisplayed.
3 (Optional)IntheGeneraltab,modifythenameanddescription.
4 (Optional)IntheBillingPolicytab,modifythebillingpolicyandtheeffectiveduration.
YoucanfetchthecurrentbillingpoliciessetinthecostmodelbyspecifyingthetimeperiodintheUpdate
fortheeffectiveperiodfieldand
thenclickingGet.
Youcanretainthecurrentlysetbillingpoliciesandaddmorepoliciesfordifferenttimeperiodsinthe
samecostmodel.Toaddanotherbillingpolicy,selecttheeffectivedurationandthebillingpolicyand
thenclickSet.Repeatthisforeachbillingpolicyyouwantto
addtothecostmodel.

OTEIfthebaserateforachargeablecomputingresourceisnotentered,thebaserateforthatresource
isconsideredtobezero.
