theapplicationbycreatingachargebackhierarchyandgeneratingbasicreportsusingthiscostmodel.Youcan

YoucancreatemultiplecostmodelsinvCenterChargeback.Definingmultiplecostmodelsenablesyouto
chargedifferentsetsofentitiesorhierarchiesdifferently.Italsoenablesyoutocomparethecostscalculated
usingdifferentcostmodelsforahierarchyorasetofentities.
To create a cost model
1IntheManageCosttab,click
CostModels.
Atablelistingallthecostmodelscreatedintheapplicationisdisplayed.
2ClickCreate.
TheCostModelscreenisdisplayed.
3EnterthefollowinginformationintheGeneraltab:
Name:Nameforthecostmodel.Thisismandatoryinformation.Thecharacterlimitforthecost
modelnameis255characters.
Description:Anoptionaldescriptionofthecostmodel.Thecharacterlimitforthedescriptionis
512 characters.
4 SelecttheBillingPolicytab.
5Settheperiodforwhichthebillingpolicywillbeeffective.
ThedefaultselectionisUpdatefromnowonwards,indicatingthebillingpolicywillbeeffectivefromthe
timeofcreation
ofthecostmodeltillinfinity.
TheotheroptionisUpdatefortheeffectiveperiod.Ifyouselectthisoption,youmustspecifythestart
andenddateoftheperiodforwhichthebillingpolicywillbeeffective.Youmustenterthedatesinthe
mm/dd/yyyyformat.Iftheend
dateisnotspecified,thebillingpolicywillbeeffectivefromthespecified
startdatetillinfinity.
