4SelecttherequiredgroupfromtheLDAPGroupssection.
YoucansearchforagroupbyspecifyingthegroupnameorasearchstringintheLDAPGroupssection
andclickingSearch.TheapplicationsearchesalltheUniqueName(samaccountnameinWindows
ActiveDirectory)andCommonNamevaluesin
theWindowsActiveDirectoryandreturnallthegroups
thatmatchthesearchstring.Youcanaddmultiplegroupsatthesametimebyselectingeachofthe
requiredgroupsfromtheLDAPGroupssection.
5 (Optional)SelecttheAssigntheSuperUserRoletotheuseroptiontogranttheprivileges
definedinthe
SuperUserroletothisgroup.
6ClickAdd.
AnypermissionorrolesetonanLDAPGroupisalsoappliedtoalltheusersinthatgroup.AfteraLDAP
groupisadded,auserbelongingtothatgroupcanlogintotheapplication.ThisLDAPuser
neednotbe
explicitlyaddedtotheapplication.
Thenewlycreatedusersareaddedtothetabledisplayingthesetofusersaddedtoorcreatedinthe
application.
Modify User
Afterauseriscreated,youcanchangethepasswordfortheuserbyusingtheModifyUserfeatureofthe
application.YoucanmodifythepasswordofonlyaLocaluser.
To modify a Local user
1IntheUsers&Rolestab,clickUsers.
Atablelistingalltheuserscreatedintheapplicationis
displayed.
2SelecttheusernameandclickEdit.
TheEditUserAccountscreenisdisplayed.
3ModifythepasswordandclickEdit.
Delete User
Youcanremoveinvalidorunusedusersfromtheapplication.However,youcannotdeletetheuserthatis
createdduringinstallation.
To delete a user
1IntheUsers&Rolestab,clickUsers.
Atablelistingalltheuserscreatedintheapplicationisdisplayed.
2Selecttheuserthatyouwanttodelete,andclick
Delete.
Adialogboxconfirmingtheactionisdisplayed.
3ClickOK.
Permissions
Apermissiondefinesarighttoperformatask.vCenterChargebackprovidessomepredefinedpermissions
