Chapter 3 Configuring Administration Settings
Disable Data Collector
Afteradatacollectorisinstalled,itisregisteredwiththeapplicationandisenabledbydefault.Youcandisable
thisdatacollectorfromtheapplication.
To disable a data collector
1IntheSettingstab,clickDataCollectors.
Atablelistingallthedatacollectorsregisteredwiththeapplicationisdisplayed.
2 Selectthedatacollectorthat
youwanttodisable.
3ClickDisable.
Delete Data Collector
Adatacollectorregisteredwiththeapplicationcanberemovedordeleted.
To delete a data collector
1IntheSettingstab,clickDataCollectors.
Atablelistingallthedatacollectorsregisteredwiththeapplicationisdisplayed.
2 Selectthedatacollectorthatyouwanttodelete,andclickDelete.
Adialogboxconfirmingyouactionis
displayed.
3ClickOKtoconfirmdeletion.
Thedatacollectorisdeletedandthesynchronizationjobsassociatedwiththedatacollectorareassignedto
otherregistereddatacollectors,ifany.
Manage License
YoucanviewthedetailsofthecurrentvCenterChargebackapplicationlicensebyclickingLicenseonthe
Settingstab.Thepagedisplaysthefollowinglicenseinformation:
LicenseKey:Thecurrentlicensekeyusedtoaccesstheapplication.
ActivatedOn:Thedateandtimewhentheapplicationwasactivatedusingthecurrentlicensekey.
ExpiryDate:Thedateonwhichtheexistinglicensewillexpire.
CurrentESXHostCPUs:ThetotalnumberofCPUsofallthepowered‐onESXhoststhatarecurrently
addedtothechargebackhierarchiesdefinedintheapplication.IfallthevirtualmachinesinanESXhost
arepoweredoff,theCPUsintheESXhostarenotconsideredin
thiscount.
MaximumESXHostCPUs:vCenterChargebackprovidesCPU‐basedlicensing.Thisentryindicatesthe
maximumnumberofESXhostCPUsthatthecurrentlicenseisvalidfor.
IsValid:Whetherthecurrentlicenseisvalidornot.

MPORTANTIfonlyasingledatacollectorisrunning,donotdeleteit.Ifdeleted,thesynchronizationjobswill
notrunandthedatainthe vCenterChargebackdatabasewillnotbeinsyncwiththedatainthevCenterServer
databases.
