AfterupgradingthevCenterChargebackinstance,youcanalsoupgradethedatacollectorinstances.Youcan
downloadthedatacollectorinstallerfromthevCenterChargebackapplication.
To download the installer
1LogintotheupgradedvCenterChargebackapplication.
2ClicktheSettingstab.
3ClickDataCollectors.
4ClicktheDownloadDataCollectorlink.
5Inthedownloaddialogbox,
clickSaveFile.
Theinstaller(vCenter-CB-DC.zip)isdownloadedandsavedonyoursystem.
To upgrade the Data Collector
1ExtractandrunthevCenter-CB-DC.exefile.
2ClickNextontheIntroductionscreen.
3Accepttheend‐userlicenseagreement,andclickNext.
4 SelectUpgradePreviouslyInstalledDataCollectorandclickNext.
Ifyouchoosetocreateanewinstance,
youmustprovideauniquenamefortheinstance.Thedefaultname
isDataCollector.
5ClickUpgradeintheAlertdialogbox.
6ClickOK.
7ReviewtheinformationdisplayedonthePre‐InstallationSummaryscreen,andclickInstall.
Theinstallerstartsinstallingthedatacollector.Iftheinstallationissuccessful,theURLfor
accessing
vCenterChargebackisdisplayed.
8NotetheURL,andclickDone.
Deploying vCenter Chargeback as a Virtual Appliance
YoucandeployavCenterChargebackinstanceasavirtualappliance.Todothis,youmustfirstdownloadthe
cbm-ovf-1.0.0-<build_number>.zipfileandextractthecontents.ThisZIPfilecontainsthefollowingfiles:
system.vmdk:Thevitualmachinediskfileforthevirtualappliance.
vCenterChargeback.ovf:Thevirtualappliancedeploymentfile.
ThevCenterChargebackvirtualapplianceisonlyforevaluationpurpose.Youmust,therefore,useonly
evaluationlicenses.
To deploy a vCenter Chargeback virtual appliance using VI Client
1StartVIClientandlogintoaVirtualCenterServerorESXServer.
2 SelectFile>VirtualAppliance>Import.
TheImportVirtualApplianceWizardisdisplayed.
3 SelectImport
fromfile,enterthepathofthevCenterChargeback.ovffile,andclickNext.
4Confirmthevirtualappliancedetails,andclickNext.
5Accepttheend‐userlicenseagreement,andclickNext.
