Configuring Administration Settings 3
As an administrative user, you can perform various administrative tasks, such as configuring the LDAP and
SMTP servers in the application and adding as well as updating vCenter Server information.
To perform these administrative tasks, you must have the Super User or Administrator role. The user account
details provided during the installation has the Super User role defined on it. Log in to the application by using
this administrative user account.

Activate the Application
When you log in to vCenter Chargeback for the first time after installation, you are prompted to enter the
license key.
Procedure
1 On the Add License screen, enter the license key.
2 Click Add.
The details about this license is stored in the application and can be accessed from the License page of the
Settings tab.
Configuring Generic Settings
Before you start using the various features of vCenter Chargeback, you must configure the LDAP and SMTP
servers in the application.
You can optionally set the log level. These settings can be configured from the Settings tab.
