transactions.AppSpeedmonitorstheselatencyanderrorthresholdsfortransactions.Whenathresholdis
exceeded,AppSpeedgeneratesanevent.

SLA States
AppSpeedusesstatechangestogenerateevents.Thestateofatransactionisbasedonitscompliancetothe
definedlatencyanderrorthresholds.
Thestateofanapplicationreflectstheworststateofanyofitstransactions.Forexample,ifthestateofallthe
transactionsisOK,thestate
oftheapplicationisOK.IfthestateofanytransactionisNotAvailable,the
applicationstateisNotAvailable.
Configuring SLA Thresholds
Youcandefinethelevelsatwhichstatechangesoccurinresponsetofluctuationsinperformanceasmeasured
bylatencyandthepercentageoferrors.Youconfigurethresholdspertransaction.
Whenaperformancelevelexceedsadefinedthreshold,achangeinstateoccurs.Specificthresholdsare
definedforeachstatebased
onthedegreeofanapplication’scompliancewithordeviationfromtargetSLA
levels.Thetransitionbetweenstatesoccursbasedonthethresholdsdefinedforwarning,SLAviolation,and
unavailablestates forthegiventransaction.
