server.YoucaninstalltheAppSpeedserveronanyESXhostthatismanagedbythemonitoredvCenter.

Import and Install the AppSpeed Virtual Appliance
AppSpeedisprovidedasanOVFfile.ThefirststepintheinstallationprocessistoimporttheOVFfileinthe
installationpackageintothevSphereClientorVIClient.
YoumusthaveadministratorprivilegestoimporttheOVFfile.
To import the OVF file into the vSphere Client
1 SavetheOVFfileinalocationthatcan
beaccessedfromthevSphereClient.
2InthevSphereClient,selectFile>DeployOVFTemplate.
3 SelectDeployfromFileandclickBrowsetolocatedtheOVFfile.
4ClickNextandclickNextagain.
5ReadandaccepttheEndUserLicenseAgreement,andclickNext.
6EnteranameforthevirtualapplianceserverintheNametextbox.
Thenamemustbeunique.
7 SelectthelocationforthedeployedtemplateandclickNext.
8FromtheInventoryLocationtree,selecttheESXhostonwhichtoinstallthevirtualappliance,andclick
Next.
ThehostmustbemanagedbythemonitoredvCenter.
Ifyouselectacluster,youmustselectaspecifichostwithinthatcluster.
9 Selectthedatastoreonwhichtostorethefilesforthevirtualappliance,andclickNext.
10 FromtheManagementNetworkdrop‐downmenu,selectthenetworktousetomanagetheprobes.
TheAppSpeedserverusesthisnetworktodeployandcommunicatewithprobesdeployedonotherhosts.
SelectanetworkthathasaccesstotheothermachinesandtovCenter.
