To configure VMware Server using vmware-config.pl
1Ifvmware-config.plisnotstartedbytheinstallationscript,enterthefollowing
commandtorunthescript:

Thescriptislocatedin/usr/bin.Ifthisdirectoryisnotinyourdefaultpath,enter
thefollowingcommandtorunthescript:
/usr/bin/vmware-config.pl
2Respondtotheprompts.Inmostcases,thedefaultresponseisappropriate.
Thefollowingportsareusedbydefault:port902forthe
VMware Authorization Service,port8222forhttpconnections,andport8333for
securehttp(https)connections.Ifyoudonotwanttousethedefaultvalue,
changetheportnumber
whenprompted.
Ifyoudonotspecifyport80forhttpconnections,youmustincludetheport
numberwhenyouconnecttoVMwareServerusingVI WebAccess.See“Logging
IntoVMwareServerUsingVIWebAccess”onpage 48.
Iftheconfigurationprogramdoesnotdisplayamessagesayingthatthe
configurationcompletedsuccessfully,runtheconfigurationprogramagain.
3Whendone,exitfromtherootaccount:
