ThefadeeffectsusedbyWindows2000,WindowsXP,andWindowsServer2003to
displaymenuscanmakethevirtualmachineseemlessresponsive.
To disable fade effects
1RightclicktheguestoperatingsystemdesktopandselectProperties>
Appearance>Effects(onWindowsXPorWindowsServer2003)or
Properties > Effects(onWindows2000).
2 Deselect
theUsetransitioneffectsformenusandtooltipscheckbox.
Disabling Visual Effects in Windows 98
Windows98visualeffectsplaceunnecessarydemandsongraphicsemulationin
VMwareServer.Youmightseeperformanceimprovementsifyouturnofftheseeffects.
To disable visual effects
1Rightclicktheguestoperatingsystemdesktop,andselectProperties.
2ClicktheEffectstab.
3 DeselecttheAnimatewindows,menus,andlistscheckbox.
4 (Optional)IfShowwindow
contentswhiledraggingisselected,deselectit.
