displayed.Tofindasubsetofusersorgroups,enterasearchvalueintheQuick
Findtextbox.

theroleyouwanttoassignfromthedrop‐downlist.
Whenyouselectarole,theprivilegesgrantedwiththeroleareselectedinthe
Privilegetreeforyourreference.
6 (Optional)Ifyouwanttoapplythepermissiontoallchildobjectsoftheselected
inventoryobject,selectGrantthis
setofpermissionstochildobjects.
7ClickOK.
Thepermissionisaddedtothelistofpermissionsfortheobject.Thelistof
permissionsincludesallusersandgroupsthathaverolesassignedtotheobject,
andindicatesthelevelatwhichthepermissionisdefined.
Editing Permissions
Whenyoueditapermission,youcanchangetheroletopairwiththeuserorgroupand
whetherthepermissionispropagatedtochildobjects.
To edit the permission role for a user or group
1Clickthehost’sorvirtualmachine’sPermissionstab.
2InthePermissionslist,selectthepermissionyouwanttomodify.
3IntheCommandssection,clickEdit
Permission.
4 Selecttheuserorgrouptowhichyouwanttoassignaroleonthisobject.
5 Selectaroletoassignfromthedrop‐downlist.
Whenyouselectarole,theprivilegesgrantedwiththeroleareselectedinthe
Privilegetreeforyourreference.
6 (Optional)Ifyouwant
toapplythepermissiontoallchildobjectsoftheselected
inventoryobject,selectGrantthissetofpermissionstochildobjects.
