Removing a Hard Disk from a Virtual Machine
Whenyouremoveaharddiskfromavirtualmachine,youcanchoosewhetherto
removethediskfilesfromthehostsystem.
To remove an existing hard disk
1 SelectthevirtualmachineintheInventorypanel.
2Makesurethatthevirtualmachineispoweredoff.
3IntheHardwaresectionoftheSummarytab,clicktheharddisk
toremoveand
selectoneofthefollowing:
RemoveRemovestheharddiskfromthevirtualmachine.
DeletefromDiskRemovestheharddiskfromthevirtualmachineand
deletestheassociateddiskfilesfromthehostsystem.
4Adialogboxasksyoutoconfirmthatyouwanttoremovethedisk.Ifyouwantto
removeit,clickYes.
Thevirtualdiskisremoved.
