Removing Datastores
Ifyounolongerwanttoaccessadatastore,youcanremoveitfromVMwareServer.
Beforeyoucanremoveadatastore,youmustremoveallvirtualmachinesinthe
datastore.
To remove a datastore
1 SelectthehostintheInventorypanel.
2IntheDatastoressectionoftheSummarytab,clickthedatastoretoremove.
3In
theCommandssectionoftheSummarytab,clickRemoveDatastore.
Aconfirmationdialogboxappears.
4ClickOKtoremovethedatastore.
Thedatastorenolongerappearsinthelistofdatastores.
Refreshing Datastores
Whenyourefreshadatastore,VMwareServerupdatesthecapacityandfreespace
available.Therefreshcommandallowsyoutoseechangesindiskcapacityandfree
spacecausedbyoperationsperformeddirectlyonthehostsystem.Thesevaluesare
automaticallyupdatedwhenyouperformVMwareServeroperationssuchascreating
ordeletingavirtualmachine.
To refresh a datastore
1 SelectthehostintheInventorypanel.
2IntheDatastoressectionoftheSummarytab,clickthedatastoretorefresh.
3IntheCommandssectionoftheSummarytab,clickRefreshDatastore.
Thevaluesforcapacityandfreespaceareupdatedforthatdatastore.
