Setting Options
Max number of monitors If you use PCoIP as the display protocol, you can select the
Maximum number of monitors on which users can display
the desktop.
When the 3D Renderer setting is not selected, the Max
number
of monitors setting affects the amount of VRAM that
is assigned to desktops in the pool. When you increase the
number of monitors, more memory is consumed on the
associated ESXi hosts.
When the 3D Renderer setting is selected, you can select at
most two monitors.
NOTE You must power off and on existing virtual machines
for this setting to take effect. Restarting a virtual machine
does not cause the setting to take effect.
Max resolution of any one monitor If you use PCoIP as the display protocol and you do not select
the 3D Renderer setting, you should specify the Maximum
resolution of any one monitor.
When the 3D Renderer setting is not selected, the Max
resolution of any one monitor setting affects the amount of
VRAM that is assigned to desktops in the pool. When you
increase the resolution, more memory is consumed on the
associated ESX hosts.
When
the 3D Renderer setting is selected, you cannot change
the Maximum resolution of any one monitor. The resolution
is set to 1920x1200 pixels.
NOTE You must power off and on existing virtual machines
for this setting to take effect. Restarting a virtual machine
does not cause the setting to take effect.
HTML Access Determines whether to allow users to connect to View
desktops by using HTML from their Web browsers.
Select Enabled to allow Horizon users to connect to View
desktops in this pool over HTML.
When a user logs in to the View Portal or Horizon User Portal
and selects a View desktop, the Blast Agent enables the user
to connect to the desktop over HTTPS. The desktop is
displayed in the user's browser. Other display protocols,
such as PCoIP or RDP, are not used. View Client software
does not have to be installed on the client devices.
To use HTML access, you must install the HTML Desktop
Access feature pack in your View deployment. The Blast
Agent must be installed on the View desktops in the pool.
To use HTML Access with Horizon Workspace, you must
pair View Connection Server with a SAML 2.0
Authentication server. Horizon Workspace must be installed
and configured for use with View Connection Server.
