Display the MAC Addresses of Client Devices
If you want to create an account for a client that is based on its MAC address, you can use Horizon Client
to discover the MAC address of the client device.
Prerequisites
Log in on the console of the client.
Procedure

To display the MAC address, type the appropriate command for your platform.

view.exe -printEnvironmentInfo
The client uses the default View Connection Server instance that you configured
for it. If you have not configured a default value, the client prompts you for the
value.
The command displays the IP address, MAC address, and machine name of the
client device.
Linux Enter vmware-view --printEnvironmentInfo -s connection_server
You must specify the IP address or FQDN of the View Connection Server
instance that the client will use to connect to the desktop.
The command displays the IP address, MAC address, machine name, domain,
name and domain of any logged-on user, and time zone of the client device.

Add Accounts for Clients in Kiosk Mode
You can use the vdmadmin command to add accounts for clients to the configuration of a View
Connection Server group. After you add a client, it is available for use with a View Connection Server
instance on which you have enabled authentication of clients. You can also update the configuration of
clients, or remove their accounts from the system.
You must run the vdmadmin command on one of the View Connection Server instances in the group that
contains the View Connection Server instance that clients will use to connect to their remote desktops.
