Youcanreactivate,deactivate,orchangetheexpirationdatefromtheInstanceDetailspage,asyoucanfrom
thesummarypage.Thefollowingtasksareavailable

1 Selecttheinstancebyclickingitsinstancerow.

Reactivate, Deactivate, or Delete an ACE Instance
Youcanimmediatelydenyorallowaccesstoaninstancebydeactiv atingorreactivating it.Afteryou
deactivateaninstance,youcandeleteitfromthelistofinstancesthattheservermanages.
Beforeyoubegin,dooneofthefollowing:
LogintotheVMwareACEHelpDeskforanACEManagementServer.
ConnecttoanACEManagementServerfromtheWorkstationwindow.
To reactivate, deactivate, or delete an ACE instance
1 Selecttheinstancebyclickingitsinstancerow.
2ClicktheDeactivateorReactivateiconintheupper‐leftcorneroftheInstancespage.
3IfyouclickedReactivate,whenprompted,resettheexpirationdates.
4 (Optional)IfyouclickedDeactivate,clickDeleteto
deletetheinstancerow.
5ClickOK.
Change a Copy Protection ID
Ifanenduserattemptstocopyormoveacopy‐protectedACEinstance,theuserreceivesanerrormessage
thatcontainsanewcopyprotectionID.AftertheendusersendsthatIDtoyou,theadministrator,youcanuse
ittoreplacetheoriginalID.
Beforeyoubegin,do
oneofthefollowing:
LogintotheVMwareACEHelpDeskforanACEManagementServer.
ConnecttoanACEManagementServerfromtheWorkstationwindow.
TheCopyProtectionIDfieldisalw aysactive,soyoucanchangetheIDatanytime.
CAUTIONIfyouchangeacopyprotectionIDforanactiveinstance,theoriginalinstancenolongerruns.
