Delete the Server Configuration File and Set a New
Administrator Password
Ifyouloseorforgettheadministratorpassword,youmustdeletetheconfigurationfile
andreconfiguretheserver.Aspartofthatconfiguration,yousetanewpassword.
To delete the server configuration file and set a new administrator password
1 NavigatetothelocationoftheACEManagementServerconfigurationfile:
Dependingontheserver’soperatingsystem,thefileisplacedinone
ofthe
followinglocations:
Windows–C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware ACE Management
Server\conf\acesc.conf
Linux–/var/lib/vmware/acesc/conf/acesc.conf
2 Saveacopyofthefiletoanewlocationsothatyoucanrefertoitwhenyou
reconfiguretheserver.
3 Deletetheoriginalconfigurationfile.
4StarttheACEManagementServerSetupapplicationandconfiguretheserver
again,specifyingapasswordontheAccessControltab.
