EnabledatabaseconnectionpoolingintheODBCDriverManager(itisdisabledby
default)tooptimizeperformancefor
serversonLinuxplatforms.
OnWindowsplatforms,ODBCconnectionpoolingisenabledbydefault.

1StarttheODBCConfigutilityasarootuser.
2ClicktheAdvancedtab.
3 SelecttheConnectionPoolingcheckbox.
Set Up a Connection Between the Server Appliance and an External
Database
TheACEManagementServerappliancedoesnotcontainaPostgreSQLdatabase
server.Youcan,however,useanexternaldatabaseserverwiththeappliance.
To set up a connection between the server appliance and an external database

duringyourfirstrunoftheserverappliance.
2Openthe/etc/odbc.inifileina
texteditor.
Forexample:
vaos# vi /etc/odbc.ini
Thisfilecontainsthepostgres_dsn settingfortheOBSCDSN.
3 Uncommentalllinesinthepostgres_dsn fileexceptthefirsttwo.
Touncommentlines,deletethepoundsign(#)atthebeginningofeachline.
