To set up your own self-signed certificates, third-party signed certificates or
certificates from an internal certificate authority
1EnsurethatyouhaveconfiguredtheACE2ManagementServerthroughthe
serverconfigurationWebapplication.
2 Createorprovidetheneededfiles:
aForyourownselfsignedcertificate,useopenssltocreateanewselfsigned
certificate.
bForathirdpartyCAorinternalCA,obtainanSSLcertificatesignedbythat
CA,andacertificateverificationchainfile.Thechainfileisaconcatenationof
everycertificaterequiredtoverifythenewSSLcertificateyoucreatedor
obtained.
cAprivatekeyfile.
AllthesefilesmustbePEMencoded.
Stepsforobtainingthecertificatechainvarydependingonwhichhostoperating
systemyouareusingandonthesourcefromwhichtheCAcertificateisobtained.
3AfteryouhaveobtainedtheitemsinStep2,renamethemasfollows:
Privatekeyfile:Renametoserver.key.
Certificatefile:Renametoserver.crt.
Certificatechainfile:Renametochain.crt.
4UsetheACE2ManagementServerconfigurationWebapplicationtouploadthe
files.SeeStep4onpage82,under“ConfiguringtheACE2ManagementServer.”
5StopandrestarttheApacheservice.See“StoppingandStartingtheApacheService
Manually”onpage85.
To update any existing ACE masters to use a new certificate and key file
1OpentheACEmaster.
2 Createanupdatepackage.
Thepackagewillcontainthenewcertificatefileandcertificatechain.
