ACE Volume Licensing Key
ACE2introducesavolumelicensekeyaswell.Thisvolumelicensekeyisavailable
withboththeStandardandEnterpriseeditionsoftheproduct.AcopyofWorkstation
ACEEditionusingavolumelicensekeyautomaticallyembedsanACEclientlicensein
allofyourACEpackages.ACEpackageswith
anembeddedlicensedonotrequirea
usertoenteraserialnumberforanACEclientlicenseatthetimeofinstallation.
ACE Client License
AnACEclientlicenseisadevice‐specificlicense.Thedetailsoftheselicensingterms
arecoveredintheEndUserLicenseAgreementforACEpublishedon
www.vmware.com.AlicenseddeviceisabletorunanynumberofACEinstances.The
ACEclientlicenseisassociatedwiththedeviceitis
installedonandisnottiedtoa
specificACEinstance.DevicesincludePCs,laptops,andportablemediadevicessuch

organizationnameinthedialogbox.
5ClickOK.
6ShutdowntheWorkstationapplicationandthenrestartit.Workstation
willbe
convertedintoWorkstationACEEdition,whichprovidesallofthefeaturesof
Workstation6,plusthosefeaturesspecifictoACE.
