Chapter 11 Installing and Using VMware Player and ACE Instances
IfyouselecttheoptionExactmatchonlyforasearchcategory,onlyinstanceswith
valuesthatareexactmatchesofthevaluespecifiedinthatcategoryfieldarelisted
inthesearchresults.Exact‐matchvaluesarecase‐sensitive.
SpecifydatesintheformatMM/DD/YYYY.
SearchcriteriaarejoinedwithAND,notOR,operations.
YoucansaveasearchbyenteringanameintheSaveasfieldintheAdvanced
Searchdialogbox.Savedsearchesarespecifictoeachserver.Ifyougotothe
instanceviewofanotherserver,thatserverwillhaveauniquesetofsaved
searches.Youcaneditor
deleteyoursavedsearchesbyselectingthenameofa
savedsearchintheSavedSearchesdrop‐downlistandthenclickingtheOptions
button.
3ClickResetintheSearchdialogboxifyouwanttoclearentriesinthesearchfields.
4Whenyouhavefinishedspecifyingthesearchcriteria,clicktheSearchbutton.The
Searchdialogboxclosesandthesearchresultsaredisplayed.
5ClickBacktoallinstancesintheupperleftofthe
windowifyouwanttorefresh
thedisplaywiththetotallistofinstances.
6IftheresultslistcannotallbedisplayedononepageoftheInstancestable,youcan
clicktheNextarrowatthebottomrightofthetabletoseethenextpageofresults.
Reactivate/Deactivate an Instance
Youcanimmediatelydenyorallowaccesstoaninstancebydeactivatingorreactivating
it.
Toreactivateordeactivateaninstance,selecttheinstancebyclickingtheinstancerow
once,andthenclicktheappropriateicon,DeactivateorReactivate,intheupperleftof
theInstancespage.
Thechangeismade
assoonasyouclicktheicon.
Reset Expiration Dates by Clicking Reactivate
Youcanresettheexpirationdatesforanexpiredinstancebyselectingtheinstancerow,
clickingReactivate,resettingtheexpirationdatesinthedialogbox,andclickingOK.
