UpdatedPolicyandPackageSettings
Enhancementstothepoliciesandpackagesettingsyoucanapplyandthewaysin
whichyoucanupdatepoliciesmakeiteasierforyoutosecureandmanageyour
ACEdeployments.Allpoliciesaredynamic.Updatedpoliciesandpackage
settingsinclude:
Networkaccess–Thesepoliciesgive youfine‐grainedandflexiblecontrol
overthenetworkaccessyouprovidetousersofyourACEinstances.Usinga
packetfilteringfirewall,thenetworkaccessfeatureofACE2letsyouspecify
exactlywhichmachinesorsubnetsanACEinstanceoritshostsystem
may
access.Thismeansthatyoucan,forexample,configuretheinstancesoitis
allowedtoconnectonlytoyourVPNserver,whichthencontrolsaccessto
otherresources.Youcanalsocustomizethenetworkaccesssettingstofilteron
thebasisofnetworkaddresses,trafficdirection,protocol,and
ports.
Accesscontrol–Thenewactivationpolicy(oneoftheaccesscontrolpolicies,
alongwithauthentication)allowsyoutodeterminewhocanactivateanACE
instanceaftertheACEpackagehasbeeninstalled,givingyoufinercontrol
overyourACEinstances.
Policyupdatefrequency–Thispolicyallowsyoutospecifyhowlongthe
managedACEinstancescreatedfromaspecificACEmastercanbeused
