Troubleshooting Setup Issues
IfyouoryourACEusershaveproblemswithloggingbackintoadomainafterinvoking
theReverttoInstalledsnapshotorwithdomainvalidationandnameresolution,seeif
thefollowingdescriptionsandresolutionsareapplicabletothoseproblems:
Problem:TheACEusercanʹtlogtheACEinstancebackintoadomainaftertheRevertto
Installedsnapshothasbeeninvoked.
Description:AnACEinstancehasbeenconfiguredbothtologintoadomainandtousethe
ReverttoInstalledsnapshot.TheACEinstancehasaWindows
guestoperatingsystem
installedandthemachineaccountpasswordforthedomainisperiodicallyrenewedbydefault.
IfthepasswordhasbeenrenewedbythetimetheuserrevertstheACEtothesnapshot,the
snapshotʹspasswordwillbeinvalidandtheloginwillfail.
Solution:Toavoidthis
problem,ensurethatthefollowingsecuritypolicyisenabled:Refuse
machineaccountpasswordchanges.
