Incircumstanceswhenyoumightwanttodoso—forinstance,ifyouwantto
test‐deployapackageanddon’tneedtohavethefilesencrypted—youcanchangethe
encryptionsettingsontheEncryptionpage.
To change encryption settings

ToprotectthecontentsoftheACEpackage,youcanspecifythattheNewPackage
Wizardencryptsthevirtualmachinewhenthepackageiscreated.Todoso,select
EncryptedunderPackageprotection.Eachinstallationofthevirtualmachineis
encrypteddifferently.
YoumustspecifyanauthenticationmethodifyouwanttheinstallertoencrypttheACE

thepackageortheACEinstance,configurationandpolicyfilesare
automaticallyprotectedagainstviewingandtampering.Evenifyoudonotencryptthe
virtualmachine,youcanselectTamperresistant.

unencryptedortoencryptinstancefileswhileleavingthepackageunencrypted.
