To set a USB device policy

AllentriesintheDevicelistaremaintainedinadevicedatabasethatisincluded
withthefilesforthisACEmaster.
aToselectadevicetobeusedwithinstancesfromthisACEmaster,clickthe
deviceintheDevicelistandthenselectthecheckboxunderAllow.To
disallowthespecificdevice,clickBlock.
bToaddadeviceormanuallyenterinformationaboutadevice,clicktheAdd

theDevicelist.TheUSBDeviceListdialogboxappears.

OTERuleapplicationandprecedence:Accesscontrolisappliedatthemostgranular
level,andthemostrestrictiveruleisalwaysapplied.Thatis,ifaruleexistsforaspecific
device,thenthatruleoverridesanyrulessetfordeviceclassesinwhichthedevice
belongs.Inthesameway,
specificdeviceclasssettingsoverridethedefaultsettingfor
allotherdeviceclasses.Ifnospecificdeviceruleexists,andthereismorethanone
deviceclassrulethatappliestothedevice,thenthemostrestrictiveruleisapplied.For
example,ifoneapplicabledeviceclassisblocked,thenthe
deviceisblocked,evenif
otherapplicableclassesareallowed.
