Setting Expiration Policies
SelectExpirationfromthePolicyEditorwindowtosetanexpirationdatefortheACE
instance.Whenaninstanceexpires,thefilesremainontheuser’scomputer,butthe
instancecannotbeused.
Youcanselectoneofthefollowingoptionsforexpiration:
Never–Theinstancedoesnotexpire.
Afterxdaysfromactivation–Theinstancerunsforthespecifiednumberofdays
afterthepackageisinstalledandactivated;itcannotbeusedafterthattime.
Validfrom<date>to<date>–Theinstancecanbepoweredonandrunnoearlier
thanthefromdateandnolaterthanthetodate.Itcannotbeusedbeforethefrom
dateorafterthetodate.
YoucandeployACEinstanceswithexpireddateranges.
Youcansetawarningmessagethatappearseachtimeaninstancepowersonasthe
expirationdateapproaches.Youcancustomizethetextofthewarningmessage.Add
yourtextafterthegraytextinthemessagebox;thegraytext
cannotbeedited.
