Setting Host-Guest Data Script Policies
Youcanprovideahost‐guestdatascriptthatrunswhentheACEinstanceispowered
on,andcanbeusedtopassvaluestotheguestoperatingsystem.Thescript,whichruns
onthehostoperatingsystem,shouldoutputasetofkey/valuepairs,whichbecome
availabletotheapplications
runninginsidetheguestoperatingsystem.Thefacilityto
dothisisprovidedbytheVMwareToolsService.
Usethispolicysettingtosharespecifichostinformationwiththeguestoperating
systemwhentheACEinstanceispoweredon.
Thesetofacceptablekeysconsistsofmachine.idandkeysprefixedwith
guestinfo,
suchasguestinfo.ipAddress.
IftheACEmasterforthisinstanceisconfiguredtobedeployedtobothWindowsand
Linuxplatforms,youcanprovidescriptsforbothWindowsandLinuxsystems.
