Removal

CAUTION:

Possible component damage: Before beginning this procedure, you

must remove the LLC card fan. See “LLC Card Fan” on page 1-30.

If your library contains the Fibre Channel router card, you must also

remove that card before removing the LLC card. See “Fibre Channel

Router Card” on page 1-5.

1. Follow the procedures in “Repair Setup” on page 1-1.

CAUTION:

Component damage: Do not touch components on the LLC card. These components

are very delicate and are easily damaged through handling or electrostatic

discharge. Follow the ESD precautions in“ESD Precautions” on page xxii .

2. At the rear of the library, remove the four T15 screws shown below.

Note: Newer model libraries do not have jack connector screws.

2. SCSI interface screws

3. Disconnect the two top cables at J39 and J40 (top of LLC card).

CAUTION:

Possible cable damage: Use caution for the following step or you might damage the

cable.

4. Cut the large tie wrap on the library floor that secures the cables for connector P42.

5. Disconnect the cable.
