Replacement

1. Check the fan case and make sure that the arrow on the case points to the rear of the library (air

flows across drives and out of the library).

2. Attach the replacement fan and finger guard, using the two T20 screws.

3. Fold the power cables.

4. Insert a tie wrap through the punch slot and secure the cables.

Note: Newer model libraries do not have a removable interior finger guard.

5. Connect the power cable.

6. Close the library drive access door.

7. On the rear of the fan, push in the four, black inserts that attach the outside finger guard.

8. Apply power and check that air flows from the drive area to the outside of the library.

9. Return the defective FRU according to your country’s warranty agreement.
