External Fans

Removal

1. Follow the procedures in “Repair Setup” on page 1-1.

2. Pull out the four, black inserts that attach the outside finger guard.

3. Open the drive access door that contains the defective fan.

4. Disconnect the fan power cable.

5. Remove the tie wrap.

6. Remove the two T20 screws, the interior finger guard, and the fan.

Note: Newer model libraries do not have a removable interior finger guard.

5. Finger guard

7. Remove the fan.
