Library Status Tool
Generating Reports
An illustration of the Library Status Tool Reports screen is shown in Figure 3-2 on
page 3-8.
To generate a report:
1. Select Reports from the Library Status Tool initial screen.
2. Select from the following Report options:
Saving a Report
Before saving the report to your computer hard drive, see “Java Policy Permissions” on
page 3-4 to set up appropriate permissions.
To save the report to a file, click Save and type the name of the report.
This is the filename you entered in the Targetname field during the Java policy tool
configuration. This filename is case sensitive.

Library The library including the
library name, ID,
SCSI type, number of CAP cells and so on.
Drive The drives installed in the library including their
current state
FSCs
Fault symptom codes with their descriptions/
occurrences from the library's Event Log.
Tape
Information
The cartridges in the storage cells, the CAP, and
the drives.
Select All All of the above
