Overview

This section describes the functions and selections of the Configure Switch dialog box

used for Vixel Switches managed by Softek SANView. Each dialog box and window

is referred to by the name that appears in its title bar.

 NOTE:

The switch Ethernet Mode is changed through the Configure Agent dialog box, which

can be opened by right-clicking the related agent in the Softek SANView Client’s Tree

frame.

The Configure Switch dialog box (as shown below) reads and displays configuration

items from the switch (see the configuration status line at the bottom of the dialog box).

In this dialog box, you can open or save a configuration file or zoning configuration

file (from the File menu), apply (download) a configuration to the switch, or read the

switch’s current configuration again. Additional options are available for Vixel 7100/

7200 Switches; later firmware versions have more features (some are available by

purchase only).
