This section describes the functions and selections of the Port window used for Vixel
Switches in Softek SANView. The Port window displays the currently selected port
control, transceiver type, port link speed (when applicable), and state of the port
connection. If one of your ports is not receiving a valid Fibre Channel signal, be sure
to check the physical connections and the signals from the devices on this node

Port Window
The Port window displays the currently selected port control, GBIC type, and state of
the port connection. If one of your ports is not receiving a valid Fibre Channel signal,
be sure to check the physical connections and the signals from the devices on this node.
Port windows for an SFP (on a Vixel 9200 Fibre Channel Switch) and a GBIC (on a Vixel 7200 Switch)
 To open the Port window:
Double-click the desired port in the Switch window.
The Reset Port button executes a soft reboot to the port, taking the port off line, then
brings the port back on line with the existing configuration. Reset a port when it’s in
an attention (yellow) state or it stays in port initialization for an unusually long time.
