The columns in the SNS Table window are listed in order of display and described in
the table below.
SNS Table Columns
SNS Columns Description
Index Number of switch port to which this device is connected.
Identifier Fibre Channel (three-byte) address identifying the location of
the switch-device connection. Each character represents a half
byte, or four bits. The first and second characters identify the
switch (Domain) while the third and fourth characters identify
the switch port (Area).
PortName Name of this connected device’s port; uniquely identifies the
port on the device.
NodeName Name of this connected device; uniquely identifies the device.
ClassOfSvc The classes of service supported by this connected device (1, 2,
3, F). Note: Vixel 8100 Fabric Switches support classes 2 and 3
only.
NodeIPAddress The node’s IPv6 formatted address for this connected device.
ProcAssoc Process Associator for this connected device.
FC4Type FC-4 types supported by this connected device (displayed as 32
characters in hex format). SCSI-FCP support is specified in the
SCSI-FCP column. To find out whether another FC-4 type is
supported, follow the instructions below this table to perform
an AND operation with the type’s mask and the appropriate
word (eight-character set) in the 32-character FC4Type value.
The type is supported if the result is a value other than zero.
Type Port type for this connected device.
IPAddress IPv6 formatted address of this connected device.
FabricPortName Name of the fabric port for this connected device.
HardAddress Hard address for this connected device.
SCSI-FCP Specifies whether this connected device supports SCSI-FCP
(“Yes” or “No”).
