SNS Table

Displays the SNS Table (available for Fabric Mode and Fabric (Public/Private)

Mode)(shown below). This window displays information for devices that are

registered with the switch. Devices that automatically send registration to SNS (Simple

Name Server) include hosts and drives. You can save this information to a file (see the

File menu).

 NOTE:

Devices on communication-disabled ports (“Denied” ports in the Zoning

Configuration Table window) may appear in the SNS table even though the port-

based zoning is supported.

Each device is identified in the NodeName column; the device port is identified in the

PortName column. The switch port to which the device is connected is identified in

two columns: the Index column (as the port number) and the Identifier column (as its

Fibre Channel address). To find out whether a device in this window supports SCSI-

FCP, see the SCSI-FCP column, which is the last column on the right—move the

bottom scroll bar.
