Historical Traffic Monitor
Displays the Historical Traffic Monitor window shown below, with port transmitter
utilization shown for each selected port and zone.
NOTE:
Only frame data is measured; LIPs, ARBs, and IDLEs are ignored.
The port gauges on the Historical Traffic Monitor window measure port traffic by the
percentage of bandwidth corresponding to the port received data only (the percentage
is calculated by the hub’s firmware as a port percentage of the loop’s total bandwidth).
This performance monitoring feature can be used to determine the bandwidth used on
the device’s loop. Monitoring the bandwidth usage allows you to make informed
decisions about the need to add devices or implement switches for increased
throughput.
