Heatpipe
designates a new effective and powerful heat transfer system for the IT sector.
A heatpipe can dissipate heat 100 times faster than a copper heat sink and 200 times
faster that an aluminium heat sink.
Function principle:
- The end of the copper heatpipe coming into contact with the CPU picks up the heat. The transfer medium
inside the pipe starts to boil (the vacuum in a heatpipe results in a very low boiling point of the medium)
- The resulting vapour moves to the other end of the heatpipe. The vapourised medium condenses and turns
liquid when it comes into contact with a cold source.
- The wick (capillaries on the heatpipe inside) picks up the coolant and transports it back to the initial point
using capillary force. A closed circuit is thus formed.
