Introduction The NETGEAR® 5/8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch Model GS605 / GS608 provides you with a high-speed, reliable, easy-to-use switch to connect up to five or eight different Ethernet enabled devices (such as computers, file servers, print servers, printers, routers and hubs).
• Note: If you have more than 5 or 8 devices to connect to this switch, you must connect them to a hub or other switch and then connect that hub or switch to this switch. See the note about placing several switches near each other in section 2. Well ventilated (especially if it is in a closet). Note: Neither the GS605 nor GS608 are designed to be stacked on top of other GS605 or GS608 switches. If you need several units in one location, use the vertical stand to position several units near each other.
