I. SELF – DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL
The topside control on your spa has the latest
diagnostic control system in the spa industry.
A n ytime the topside control recognizes a conflict
of entries by various outside influences in its
software such as power fluctuations or contrary
information being fed by the system sensors, it
will start flashing the display.
You can initiate the diagnostic test by pressing
“ P R O G ” button three times. The display will
initially show the software revision, then the
Service Amperage Draw setting, the Pump
setting, and then commence the diagnostic test
which will run for three and a half minutes.
A n ytime during the first minute of testing, you
canstopthetestbypressingthe“ P R O G ”
button once and use the “ V IE W ” button to
cycle through the programming mode.
Upon completion of the test, if everything is
operating correctly, the message ( ) will be
displayed until buttons are pushed after 15
s e c o n d s .
J. H.E.E.T. PUMP
Each spa is equipped with Vita Spa’s exclusive
High Efficiency Energy Tr a n s f e r p u m p .
Similar to the principle of heat transfer pumps,
the H . E . E . T. system transfers the heat
generated by the circulation pump motor to
the water 24 hours a day. After the first twelve
hours of operation each day, as a protection
against overheating, the H.E.E.T. pump will
turn off if the water temperature exceeds the
desired temperature. The 4kw-system heater
will come back on when the water
temperature falls 1 degree F° under the
desired temperature.
You are also given the choice between12
forced hours of circulation or 24 forced
hours, regardless of water tempature.
1. Press “PROG” until heat icon flashes
2. Press “VIEW” 4 times “C=12” appears.
3. Press “UP” or “DOWN” buttons to
change.
4. Press “LIGHT” button to clear or wait 30
seconds.
K. SKIM–AWAY
S k i m – Awa y i s a n a uto ma ti c s ki mmi ng
action which takes place each day from
8am until 8:30am each morning and
from 4pm until 4:30pm each afternoon. The
primary and secondary pumps will activate in
low speed mode. This will pull all surface oils
and debris into the filter well cavity.
During the programming sequence, when
“SA=1” is displayed, you may then adjust the
S k i m - A - Way feature. The display of “SA=1” is
the factory setting. This setting permits the
skim-away feature to operate for 30 minutes
each morning and afternoon for a total of 1
hour each day. By pressing the “UP” or
“DOWN” arrows, you can change the skim-
away time to 2, 4, or 6 hours each day. The
total selected time will be split between
morning and afternoon.
NOTE: In climates of high heat or during the
summer, it is not recommended to have the
“SKIM-AWAY” cycle for more than 2 hours
per day.

Your spa has been preset to show the
temperature in Fahrenheit “ F ” d e grees. If you
desire, you can change to Celsius “C” d e gr e e s
by pressing the “ P R O G ” button, and then
holding down the “ MODE ” button for 10
seconds. “F” will appear in the display. Press
the “ PROG ” button to switch back and fort h
between “ F ” and “ C ” mode. To exit this
procedure, wait 30 seconds or press any button
ADD START UP CHEMICAL
Carefully follow the directions and add the
start-up chemicals recommended to you by
your dealer. Contact your dealer to clarify any
questions you may have.
