ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION GUIDE
WE RECOMMEND INSTALLATION OF THIS LIGHTING FIXTURE BE DONE BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
WARNING *** SWITCH OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT
BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLATION.
INSPECT ITEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR
OBVIOUS DEFECT, DO NOT INSTALL.
ITEM MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
1. Remove mounting plate (A) from fixture base (D) by unscrewing cap nuts (E).
2. Attach mounting plate (A) to the ceiling outlet box and secure with mounting screws (B).
3. Attach top nipple of rod (F) to the fixture base (D), letting rod (F) pass through the center hole of fixture base (D)
and secure with hex nut (C).
4. Connect the ground wire from fixture base (bare copper) to the ground wire from the outlet box (usually green
or copper in color).Fasten together with a plastic wire connector provided and tightly wrap the wire connector with
electrical tape so the end of the connector is sealed. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE OUTLET BOX IN YOUR HOME
BE PROPERLY GROUNDED.
5. Connect both neutral (white) fixture wires coming from the fixture base to the neutral (usually white) outlet wire.
Fasten both wires together with a plastic wire connector and tightly wrap the wire connector with electrical tape.
6. Repeat this procedure with the hot (black) wires. Always make sure that no wire strands are left outside the
connector. DO NOT REVERSE THE HOT AND NEUTRAL CONNECTIONS OR SAFETY WILL BE COMPROMISED
Attach fixture base (D) to affixed mounting plate (A), letting threaded rods on mounting plate (A) pass through both
holes of fixture base (D) and secure with cap nuts (E).
7. Insert light bulbs into sockets.
8. Remove finial (H) from bottom of rod (F) and attached glass shade (G) to fixture base (C), letting rod (D) pass
through the center hole of glass shade (G) and secure with cap nut (H).
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN, OTHERWISE IT WILL CAUSE GLASS TO BE BROKEN.
