1. To install glass panel to each frame of lantern box, removing all metal tabs by unscrewing set screws and set aside.
Insert a glass panel into one frame and insert the second glass panel to the next frame, replace the metal tabs and
followed with set screws to secure glass panels to the frame.
2. Insert the third glass panel into the next frame, secure with metal tabs and set screws. Repeat the procedure for the
rest glass panel.
3. Screw top loop onto top threaded rod of lantern box, and tighten set screw at side of top loop until tight.
4. Attach chain to top loop by opening/closing end link of chain.
5. Provide a 1/4” IPS pipe with one end securely mounted to a beam or a structural member. The other end should
protrude through the center of the outlet box as shown.
6. Assemble the chain mounting loop, nipple, nuts and hickey to center 1/4”IPS support pipe and adjust overall length
to allow the canopy ring to hold the canopy flush to the ceiling. When the adjustments have been completed, secure
the three (3) nuts as shown.
7. Attach the chain to the loop on top of side chains. Slip the canopy ring and canopy over the upper end of the chain.
Open the end link of the chain and lift the fixture to attach to the chain mounting loop and secure the link.
8. Lace the fixture wires, ground and safety cable through the chain and loop, exiting through the side of hickey. Run the
safety cable through the top of the outlet box and secure to structural member.
CONNECTING THE WIRES:
1. At this point, connect the electrical wires as shown in the bottom Figure making sure all wire nuts are secured.
You May have to wrap the connections with electrical tape. If your outlet has a ground wire (green or bare copper)
connect fixture’s ground wire to it. Otherwise connect fixture’s ground wire directly to the junction box.
2. Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling junction box.
3. Raise the screw collar and thread onto screw collar loop protruding through canopy.
4. Insert light bulbs into sockets.
5. Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
