qulu VMS v2.3
KEY FEATURES/BENEFITS
Automatic Failover
Should a server on a qulu system fail, the cameras will be immediately
transferred to available servers within the system. Once the failed server is
repaired and becomes available again, the cameras will return to their original
server.
Video Wall / Remote Monitor
Users can control an unlimited number of video wall/remote monitors in real-
time from a connected client machine.
Video Wall is a licensed feature per user wanting to control the video wall.
One-Click System-Wide Upgrades
System administrators can upgrade an entire system (all servers and clients in
a system, regardless of operating system or device type) to a newer version or
to a specific build from any client connected to the system.
No Single Point Of Failure - Server Clustering
All servers in a system continuously synchronise system configuration
settings creating a reliable cluster of servers - and creating a system that
allows operators to connect to any server at any time to view the entire
system. This, in turn, creates a system capable of adapting to server failures in
real-time and ensures no single point of failure.
Integration With Paxton Access Control
Video from qulu can be linked to events in the Paxton Access Control system.
Video footage can be viewed directly from within the Paxton software
interface.
OTHER FEATURES
Edge
The qulu server can now be installed and run on virtually any ARM device
- including micro computers (Raspberry Pi, Banana Pi) and edge cameras.
This means the server can run on small low-cost boxes, or even without any
dedicated server!
Universal Fisheye Dewarping
The system now supports fisheye dewarping on any type of fisheye lens -
including panamorph (elliptical) lenses.
Web Based Camera Settings
Version 2.3 now includes the ability to view the camera’s native web page
inside the camera settings dialog. This feature is currently available on
selected camera models and works over both LAN and WAN connections.
Web Admin Redesign
There is a brand new web administration client with added features including
server health monitoring, restart servers, change System ID, port, login and
password, join to other systems, and server storage configuration.
Simplified System Expansion
In version 2.3 it is now possible to join different systems in one go, rather than
separately. Servers/system can now be merged with few clicks in the system
client or web administration interface.
One Network Port For Everything
With version 2.3 network traffic is now directed through a single port on each
server (default 7001), making power configuration much simpler.
