DESCRIPTION
IR sensitive (Mmonochrome version only) Ideal for use with discreet illumination for covert applications or in areas where white light is
deemed a pollutant.
Phase adjustment The VPM500 and VPM504 series allows installers to prevent issues such as picture rolling, a
problem often associated with differing power sources.
Backlight compensation (BLC) BLC deals with areas of differing light-levels maintaining proper exposure in the centre 40% of the
screen.
Automatic gain control (AGC) AGC automatically amplifies the image quality as lighting levels drop.
Auto white balance options (not
monochrome version)
Improves the colour balance in areas where there is a mixture of light sources. Externally this also
improves the colour balance in areas where daylight is the predominant source of light.
Flickerless (not monochrome version) The flickerless control takes into account the cycling process of the light sources and adjusts the
colour, gain, electronic shutter control and white tracking balance to produce a correct colour
picture.

Day/Night operation d/n option only Because the camera is fitted with a moving IR filter, it provides high quality colour images during
the day and increased sensitivity during the night. It is fully IR sensitive so can be used with covert
IR lighting.
Colour/Mono operation
c/m option only
The colour signal is removed in low-light conditions to provide a clean monochrome image,
removing all AGC noise and providing a far more pleasing image.

DESCRIPTION
Day/Night operation d/n option only Because the camera is fitted with a moving IR filter, it provides high-quality colour images during
the day and increased sensitivity during the night. It is fully IR sensitive so can be used with covert
IR lighting.

Privacy zones Four user configurable privacy zones enable operators to blank up to four separate areas on
screen, each of a different size and position - ideal for blanking chip and pin machines.
Dynamic noise reduction DNR automatically cleans the video signal to provide a better picture, especially useful under
difficult lighting conditions. This cleaner image also saves hard disk space on modern DVRs.
On-Screen display The user-friendly OSD provides a simple, easy to navigate set-up facility for all the camera’s
features.

Motion detection Four user-configurable areas will provide on-screen notification of motion in any of the
pre-defined areas.

WDR wide dynamic range
WDR option only
Using a dual scan CCD the WDR feature provides excellent picture quality in high-contrast
environments, ensuring clear images are seen in bright and dark areas of the picture.
External day/night switching input This external input forces the camera into night-time mode, ensuring zero hunting and entirely
accurate day/night operation, fully integrating with Vista VIRP range of lighting products.
Day/Night switching delay The time delay on switching from colour to monochrome prevents any hunting or random
switching due to car headlights.
