LASER POINTERS
Four laser pointers embedded in the
camera head outline the capture area
on the desk. Presenters can interact
with the object or document they are
showing without having to refer to
thescreen.
A4 CAPTURE AREA
At 255mm tall, the native capture area is
slightly larger than an A4 piece of paper.
OPTIMUM RESOLUTION
Video from a visualizer is viewed
on a 1600 x 1200 projector at best.
Vision opted for 1600 x 1200 pixels
which decreases the burden on the
PC and USB bus, provides faster
video, and crisp uncompressed video
onprojectors.
WIDE FOCAL-LENGTH
The DC-1000 features optics with a wide
focal length so that as much as possible
in the capture area is in focus at all
times. A ne-tune focus ring can be
adjusted for items which are especially
close to the lens.
WEBCAM-READY
With the camera boom folded down the
camera remains active, so the DC-1000
can be used as a normal webcam.
LED LIGHTS
Eight LED lights built into the camera
head light to capture area.
SOFTWARE INCLUDED
The DC-1000 can be used with generic
Microsoft Windows camera software
and it comes with software which offers
zoom, still and video capture, and
image adjustment.
Vision took a close look at how visualizers are used in the modern
presentation environment. The DC-1000 redenes document
cameras by stripping out unused features, adding really useful new
features, and leveraging new CMOS technology to deliver a simple
high quality device.
