The resistors had a 12-digit numeric code starting with
2312
The subsequent 4 digits indicated the resistor type,
specification and packaging; see the 12NC table
The remaining 4 digits indicated the resistance value:
- the first 3 digits indicated the resistance value
- the last digit indicated the resistance decade in
accordance with resistance decade table
